Let's Make This The Most Successful 'Hey Mama Day' Yet

On Nov. 10, 2017, Kanye West fans from around the world will celebrate Hey Mama Day. To honor Kanye's mother Donda West, fans will stream Kanye's beloved song about his mother, Hey Mama, as many times as possible.

In 2017, we hit 700,000 streams on Spotify in a 24-hour period—and plans are to make 2018 even bigger.

To do our part, Watching the Throne will be looping Hey Mama continuously on Stationhead, a platform where we host an online "radio station," for 24 straight hours on Nov. 10, 2018. Every listener that tunes in counts towards the Hey Mama play count on Spotify. So if 100 people are tuned into our station, then each time we play Hey Mama, it will receive 100 more listens.

You can get the Stationhead app on iTunes. Once you're in, you can find our station, which is called "KanyePodcast".

In addition, Watching the Throne will host a 1-hour special at 1 p.m. CT on Hey Mama Day. We'll talk about the song, read from Donda's book Raising Kanye, and play some Donda-themed games. If you've downloaded the Stationhead app and tune into the special, you'll be able to become part of the broadcast through your phone. We'll loop in some lucky listeners, who will be able to talk about how much they love Hey Mama and win some prizes.

Hopefully you can join us on Saturday! Let's make this the most successful Hey Mama Day yet.
